Luton Festival Of Transport 2024

The Luton Festival of Transport has been running for over 30 years at Stockwood Park Luton.

Luton Someries Rotary Club has helped Chiltern Vehicle Preservation Group run the event over the last few years, and have now been handed the baton to continue running the show.

An early start again for the club, this time setting up our stand and also providing marshals to ensure a safe and smooth running show for exhibitors and the general public.

Once the club stand was setup the cars started arriving, a slow drip suddenly turned into a flood as the early morning arrivals entered the site and were pointed to their respective spaces.

Along with the clubs usual MGB’s and our resident and always welcome Healey, we also had a few RV8’s join us for the day.

The show was very well attended by both cars and the public and the weather while a little on the cold side didn’t spoil the day.

Our stand was well visited and a number of people spoke to us about their love of MG’s and their own restoration work carried out on their cars.

We hope very much to see some of them at our Monthly Meetings.

The club stand were invited to drive some of our cars into the show ring and give everyone a short presentation.

Gary took the mike along with Patrick to extoll the virtues of MG and Austin Healey ownership respectively.

Well done to them both for puling together such a great ad-hoc presentation, in front of a large crowd of car enthusiasts.
