Report for our Wednesday Wanderers

For our July outing 18 members (and young Harley) in 11 assorted vehicles took various routes to the headquarters of the MG Car Club in Abingdon.  This was the site of the original MG factory from 1923 to 1980.  After being welcomed with tea and coffee and an introductory chat, we were free to explore the site.  There were pictures of the old factory and workers, a host of memorabilia, detailed archives of historic production through the years, and an impressive array of trophies.  We then enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch and time to chat with the friendly helpful team.  A photo of the cars and members should appear in the September issue of the Car Club magazine to mark our visit.

Kimbolton

The club once again gathered to journey to the Kimbolton classic car show in Northamptonshire.

We had a very good turnout with14 cars plus bodies in attendance, the weather was mostly dry for the day apart from the last half hour but this did not dampen our spirits and we had a very enjoyable day with Pims being provided by Richard.

Wingfield

Next we attended the Wingfield classic car show, this years event was a little bit down on cars attending but at least 12 of those were ours, again the weather held out for us.

Again an enjoyable day.

Club Holiday

Arrangements for the club holiday are well underway, and I would ask Glen to give us an update.

New Web Site

Richard has been working on developing our new web site and will give the club an update as were we are with it.
