Welcome everyone, to the Tuesday, 4 March 2025 edition of the club newsletter.
Club business:
Our first field show is looking like Chiltern Hills on Sunday, the 18th of May.
We will be trying out the new gazebo and, depending on numbers, also taking the larger gazebo.
I will be looking for volunteers to pick up a gazebo if we are taking both.
Christmas dinner this year will be at the Checkers in Westoning on the 13th of December –
they have a vegetarian and gluten-free option and can seat around 40 to 45 covers.
Deposits needed by today’s meeting for the Treasure Hunt meal please – to Paul or Ann.
Wednesday Wanderers Report
February’s WW outing was to Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire, where we had 10 members
in some MGs and other cars.
We set off in the rain, and it continued until we were on the way home.
Most of us enjoyed a light lunch in the restaurant, some toured the House, and others just took a stroll in the gardens.
We had hoped to see some of their “79 varieties of daffodils,” but unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be any out yet, although we did spot some snowdrops.
This time it was a rather disappointing day because of the wet weather and lack of flowers. Hopefully, next month will be better, but the decision on a venue is still to be made.
Our 1st car event was the postponed Stony Vintage, and I must say it was a great event.
A bit of a cold start, but once in the sunshine and after the free breakfast bap and coffee, well worth a visit.
Maybe I will actually make it on New Year’s Day this year ….. my early New Year’s resolution.

Red Lion – Bedford Road, Houghton Regis, Dunstable LU5 6JR tel. 01582 797304
