LDMGOC’s drive it day set off without a hitch on its way to the first stop the Toby Carvery for a full English breakfast.
Arrival at the Toby was uneventful and parking was a breeze.
What awaited inside was a delightful all you can eat breakfast buffet, which was the ideal starter for the day.
After a chat and a few cups of tea and coffee the group set out for the main event, a trip to Fairlands Lake in Stevenage.
It was at this point that we lost one of our number, to what appeared to be a failed battery.
A jump start got them going but for them the day was over and a return to home was wisely undertaken.
The remainder of the group made their way to the lakes for a bracing walk round the man made lakes, which were opened in the early 1970’s.
A great way to walk of the breakfast and also give the cars a chance to stretch their legs before the show season kicks off.
