We received a BIG THANK YOU from the Luton Irish Forum for
organising and participating in the classic car portion of the parade on ST Patricks Day “The
cars where AMAZING” comments received at the post parade review meeting – and an
invite to do the same but bigger, next year!
Anyone not on the What’s App Group? or needing help accessing it? – if needed I can run a
workshop on this or provide one to one help if numbers are small.

The Very Next Club Event – will be National Drive it Day on Sunday 21st April, meeting
point is at the Inspire Luton Sports Village Butterfield Green Road LU2 8DD at 8:50, leaving
at 9:00am for 9:30 breakfast and then a leisurely walk around Fairlands Valley Park and then
back again via a country route to Inspire.

Club Holiday
The next UK club holiday is to Llandovery in Wales from the 27th April to the 2nd May –
organiser is Brian Moore. The last meeting before the holiday will be held for those attending.

Club stands will be booked if the organisers of the shows allow, however the recent trend is for organisers to only allow individuals to book on-line with various options employed for the club stand, examples are:- Club Name for Chiltern Hills Rally and a club code issued for Kimbolton .
Some shows are turn up only and a few are display by age – we will endeavour to advise you of how and when to book your tickets well in advance where possible.
National Drive it Day – Sunday 21st April – Breakfast / Walk / Drive……
MGOC Kimber Run – Sat 11th May £32 per car of 2 people (additional passengers £6) –
Welcome Hot Drink and Breakfast Roll, route book @ Rally board, parking and entry to
Shuttleworth Collection & Swiss Gardens included.
Chiltern Hills Rally is on the 19th May – There is a new club attendance process and Tickets
are £10 for the Driver and one passenger, you need a Club Ticket please enter ‘Luton and
Dunstable MGOC’ as the NAME OF CAR CLUB YOU WANT TO BE PART OF then
advise me you have purchased your ticket so I can add you to my list of attendees.
The New Forrest Run – 2nd June – This run starts at East Bolder SO42 7WD and will be
attended by members from our club. If anyone else is interested in attending it is £25 per car
plus an optional £9:50 per person for cream tea at the finish www.1009mg.org.uk Members
will be staying at the South Lawn Country House Hotel if you also want to stay over night.
The 33rd Luton Someries Festival of Transport on the 9th June – Those willing to marshal /
Judge can get free entry.
Kimbolton Country Fayre & Classic Car Show is on the 14th July, we have a club stand
booked and now have the following booking details – book Early Bird tickets @ £13.50
using the code KCFCCS24 at www.kimboltoncountryfayre.org/tickets You can pay on the
day £15 but you will have to join the pay on gate line – this may take longer than pre-booked
ticket holders.
The 10th South Beds Classic Vehicle Show is on the 11th August – again those willing to
marshal you get free entry…..
