Report for our Wednesday Wanderers

“For the Wednesday Wanderers’ November outing, we had an early Christmas lunch at the Five Bells in Henlow, Bedfordshire.  We had 22 members at a very long table with crackers, hats, jokes and the odd drink here and there.  We enjoyed an excellent 3-course festive meal with good service and judging by the noise level, everyone had a good time!  Now looking for ideas for next year.”

Club Christmas Dinner

More reminders for you regarding the Christmas dinner at the Cross Keys on Saturday 16^th December.  Please gather by 7pm to ‘meet and greet’ and buy your drinks, so that we are ready to sit down for the meal at 7.30pm.

At next Tuesday’s meeting: 

Please bring your menu choices* with you as I need to give those to the pub as soon as possible.

Please bring your balance monies (you have all paid £5 deposit), details below.  Cash is ok, cheques to be made out to ‘Janet please.

Balance for 3 courses is £28 per person, so £56 per couple. 

Balance for 2 courses is £22.50 per person, so £45 per couple.

  *Note that if you have chosen steak or cheese, these both carry a £4 supplement so you need to add that on.  Also with steak, please indicate how you would like it cooked.

As usual, suit and black tie are welcome but optional and of course the ladies always look glamourous.

Lastly, the 10% service is already included in your payment.  However, as in the past few years, we will be taking a collection for the Keech Hospice instead of all exchanging Christmas cards so please have some cash ready if you wish to donate.

Other News

It has been announced that Sussex Classic Cars, a supplier of MG parts will be closing down after 32 years of trading.

Gary is asking for volunteers to participate in the St David’s paraded in March of next years.

This is also a chance to promote LDMGOC.

Lastly

Congratulations to both Bob and Ingrid. As most of you will know, Bob and Ingrid were married on Monday 20^th November and they are now officially Mr & Mrs Pech.

Pub Night:

There will be no pub night for December.
