Report for our Wednesday Wanderers

Report from Janet

For our October outing, 16 members in 9 assorted cars (3 MGBs, 2 MGFs, 1 Midget, 1 MGTD, plus a Mini and a Ford) set off for the drive to Odell on a route kindly devised by Glyn.  Sure enough, we came across a road closure north of Bromham and had to follow quite a long diversion, but it did go through some pretty countryside.  We still arrived at ‘The Bell in Odell’ in good time and all enjoyed our pre-ordered lunch.  Afterwards most of us went for a stroll in the sunshine and watched the swans on the lake in the Harrold and Odell Country Park.

NB  Just a reminder that November’s trip will actually be on Thursday 1^st December so please make a note on your calendars

Sywell Pistons and Props

A number of us attended the Piston and Props show at Sywell, unfortunately we were unable to secure an area for a club stand this year, however a number of travelled in convoy a journey though the winding roads of north Bedfordshire, but we all  arrived safely except for one

Gary just made it to the gates to the show round when disaster happened; believe it was a broken drive shaft resulting was traveling back on the back of an AA lorry. 

Club Holiday to France

I believe that this went well, I do not have any information on this, however Glyn will give a run down on events at the meeting.

This month the club does not have any shows scheduled to attend, however we will now be looking at events for next year.

Club Christmas Dinner

This is booked for the 16^th December at the Cross Keys and Janet would like to collect then deposit of £5.00 for each person who will be attending.

Pub Night

Pub Night will be on the19th of September to be held at     wait for it, !!!!!
